After the most recent updates, the Plugins section isn't working as normal on my DM8000 anymore. When I open it - it complains about things like:

 

Extensions/IMDB (cannot Import name _PY3)

etc

 

I have updated a couple of times the last week - but the problem is still there. 

I can't access some of the plugins - although some of them still seem to work (rytec xmltv plugin etc).

I found this Dutch post - http://openpli.org/f...+cannot +import - about a similar issue - but that seemed to have solved itself.

Any clue ?

Just ssh into box and run the following:

opkg update

opkg upgrade

reboot

 

Once the box reboots everything will start working fine again

Not a good idea. Better to do this from the GUI (software upgrade). It does the same, but when e.g. network components are being upgraded, the upgrade won't crash. If you run the upgrade via SSH and the network resets because of an upgrade, the upgrade program will lose its terminal connection and be terminated, resulting in a halfway applied upgrade.

 

The GUI also shuts down before upgrading, avoiding other troubles as well, like losing settings for example.

I do it this way (ssh) and live with this fact
