If you post the ipk here, we can add it to the 3rd party feed.

No need: you can build it directly from the VU repos.

That is exactly what we're not going to do (and at some point in the future you will know why).

I would indeed like to know why not. LittleSat always askes for sources to build from, whenever possible.

In fact the plugin isn't even required: it's only a GUI to set the values in /proc/stb/audio

Other images have entries for this in the existing audio-menu.

Erik, I thought you didn't like plugins solely for GUI-purposes?

Omitting the plugin means that the settings are neatly integrated into the existing menu's, making it more user friendly:

Unless it's a temporary stop-gap measure. Especially when it's for one brand only.

I think there is already anough in the audio menu where you set the audio channel you want... and have some basic settings....

To add all these thinks makes e.g. the selection list having less items and it goes down to allow place for all these wierd options you usually rarely use...

That is why I think this should be a plugin... A good place where the plugin could hookin is via the blue button in the audio menu (where the synchronization plugin also hooks in)...

Or just a plugin... then somone who wants quick access to these options can define their own button to it...

In between a X-mess tree mess is made from the audioselection menu :( But this is just my meaning...

Also put AAC downmix as saperate setting.... do all downmix or nothing, or put the options in the downmix setting as parameter...

So I suggest indeed we should put in this case a ipk in our third party feed... or put the plugin on e2openplugins or so (but then it is a custom VU-plugin and possibly the 'tender drivers' may adapt).

AAC downmix as seperate entry is important. Most amps and some TV's are pretty well capable of decoding AC3 & DTS, but not ACC. And as many internet streams use AAC the lack of a seperate downmix entry would require frequent switching between downmix On/Off.

The rest is of course about making choices. But IMHO AVL is also an important entry (on many amps the same setting is available as 'night').

Thanks for the files.

I'm using Audio Effect in openpli Duo2. It works without problems.

It would be great to have this option by default in openpli, without installing any plugin.
