Mount network harddrive on DB7020, how ??

's foto pshdo 10 aug 2007

Hi there.....

At first let me say that i am using PLi Helenite Final on both my recivers.......

Now the questions:

Instead of using an internal harddrive on my DB7020, i would like to use an external network drive....
- then it will not run quite as hot, as it do with an internal harddrive.....

The network harddisk is running samba, and mounts perfectly on my DB500....

But i can´t figure out what to mount and what to unmount for this to work on the DB7020.......

Also i have connected a USB-stick to my network-samba-server that i would like to mount as USB on my DB7020, again, same "problem"....
- it mounts perfect on my DB500, but i can´t figure it out on my DB7020......

Pleace, i would be really happe to get some help on this subject.....

Try to install libsmbclient & smbclient in PLI packages manager (yellow button)
In "ordinary" linux - this way:)

- there must be something else that i have missed......

I just can´t figure out what, becource on my DB500 i can mount the samba drive on the server just fine.....

Hm.
Try by hands - something like: mount -t smbfs //user@server/sharename share (or "-t cifs" to windows share).
And check the kernel modules (/lib/$kernel/fs/....) Don't remember, may be file system drivers made by modules.
