I use Vu Ultimo 4k and there's no delay. Still, the skin is full HD, and some receivers with slower processors might have a slowdown. I can not fix it.

I don't have a skin version in HD resolution 1280 x 720. The skin of @drenalinnrw was in HD resolution, but I resized all the pictures of the skin in FHD resolution.

This skin I've done for Vti image. The VTi image has a built-in weather plugin and is fast and easy without interfering with other similar plugins. It would be good for OpenPLi to do that. In addition, in VTi there are so-called skin parts which allow replacement of a single skin screen. Here are pictures of the same skin I made for VTi image. In the next version for OpenPLi, I will also make a version with a weather plugin.

My friend you can use (separate plugin for that feature options) such as UserSkin to (j00zek)

...

I have use it in my modified skins ..

Try this my modified VTI default skin (AtileHD) with UserSkin (I have modified before long time to all dreambox OE2.0 images) ..

Mentioning how winderfull vti solve it does not help at all. They are closed source and that makes their good thinga useless for is and for all other open source minded teams... and with that they are violating gpl
I prefer when someone adds an infobar show plug-in type where weather and e.g. Bitrate ,
Permanent clock etc.... hookup to with a instantiate screen/window.
Plug-ins that hooked into that type may show something on the infobar
