Hallo,

Graag jullie hulp.

If you forgot your password or used an extension for changing it with OpenPLi you can clear the password by editing the first line in /etc/shadow which contains the hash of your password. Just delete the second parameter.

OF

Gaat die app me helpen?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Install the plugin (menu - plugins - green button) to change the root password, start the plugin (menu - plugins), and change the root password.

Thnx WanWizard, Setpasswd worked for me.

After installing openpli7, my ftp worked fine with my old password. But in the last days I updated from menu. I think something came after that, but excuse me if I'm wrong. I'm not sure what it is but I was not able to login with FTP  (winSCP) or SSH (Putty) anymore.

After resetting my root password with SetPasswd, it works again. But now I'm only able login with SFTP.

Do you know how to activate FTP access again?

For people who wants to reset his root password:

  • Menu>Applicaties>Softwarebeheer (manage software)
  • Beheer applicaties (manage software)
  • System>SetPasswd - green button

Het mag in het Nederlands hier hoor. ;)
