With such settings - behavior when a movie is started ask the user the media files mp4, avi, mkv are played at the beginning, but should be played from the point of stoppage. This works only with ts files.

other file types miss the meta data required to do so.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

And what you need to do to add a meta date-Openpli-develop?

I'm not a developer, so I can't answer that. But I can imagine that would require quite a lot of work, as (for example) those files miss any timing information.

The current/last position of non-TS files ("media") have been recorded for a long time and just works. If it doesn't work, it may be caused by enigma2 not being able to write to /root, that's where the data ends up.

As Dimitrij mentioned in bugs, the problem is with getLength when starting playback.
If you remove the length check by changing to length = (None,0) there: https://github.com/O...nerics.py#L3067
In that case the resume working again (I tried the avi file).

But that's not fix.
It only points to the problem.
Need to find a reason or the problem is in gstreamer, or in some changes in enigma.

I have disabled-Download video duration-no-file selector-menu-configuration. And I have a menu with a choice from the beginning to play or continue.

I have tried it with two media files yestartday evening, jumping to and fro in them and it works as expected, actually... Maybe it's specific to avi file? I try to avoid avi whenever possible, it's an outdated container that has all sorts of inherent issues.
