I don't know if it's openpli related or SatdreamGR related.

HDMI mode has recently dissapeared on develop image.

AV settings just lets you select between Scart or YPbPr modes on ET 10K.

No more HDMI, although HDMI output works fine.

Hi, for HDMI is normally a systemplugin needed perhaps this is not included as default. It might be called videomode´or something else with video. ciao

Hi,

I think that your are mixing up the fact to be able to define and configure the HDMI as valid output for your STB (which is build in the image if the driver reports that the STB is HDMI capable) and the plugin HDMI-CEC that allows you to send commands to wake up the TV, forward key press, volume,... through the HDMI interface.

Hi, perhaps now I am mixed up but in the beginning 2-3 years ago I removed a plugin which I thought was not needed and then I did not have the HDMI settings anymore. It can be box depended. ciao

FYI

If I use /usr/lib/enigma2/lib/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/Videomode/VideoHardware.py file before April 12th (develop branch), both HDMI output mode and HDMI CEC plugin appear and work fine.

Applying the file after commit on April 12th.,  2dc1666.....  it fails.

Here no issue... what fails?

I can't use 1080 p, because HDMI has dissapeared.

If I go to MENU -> SETUP -> SYSTEM -> Audio /Video -> A/V Settings   I can choose (using left & right keys) between YPbPr and Scart.

HDMI doesn't appear.

But my receiver is connected via HDMI to TV, and HDMI works (setting YPbPr to1080i).

HDMI CEC menu has also dissapeared.

If I take the VideoHardware.py file before April 12th (develop branch), both HDMI output mode selection and HDMI CEC setting appear again and work fine.

If I "update" to current VideoHardware-py file, both don't appear.

Set "Allow unsupported modes" --> No

Where ??

Hi, only on your 10K or also on other models? ciao

I've just seen on my ET10k

before April 12th = from April 11th? In other words: how far before?

The latest update was on April 12th, by Zgemma (https://github.com/O...b9814d63ea7473e). Wouldn't be the first time they made a mess of it...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

@wanwizard, he has the problematic commit.

Most probably the "hotplug on dvi" line removal is causing the issue.

@jpuigs,

Can you put the following line under the self.createConfig() using latest py file.

                self.createConfig()
                self.on_hotplug("DVI") # must be DVI
Does it make any difference?

?????????????

Deleting the file and copying directly the one at :

https://raw.githubus...ideoHardware.py

gives HDMI back again, without needing extra line.

?????

So what hotplug does then? :(

On the next update, make sure that .py is deleted (because it overwrites pyo or generates new pyo).

I didn't create that py file, it was already present on that folder, I just edited it following your help, and it worked.

It was next day, when updating ir wasn't modified but stopped working.

Today I have renamed that .py file (.py_) , and deleted the .pyo, and after updating .py appears again

But it still works......

Hi, when you edit a py file the date changes and this could mean that your edited old file is not overwritten by an update and newly compiled by a new start. So the danger is that you have an update with a new compiled old version of that file. I also stumbled over this a few times. So before an update delete all py files you changed. ciao

Yes, I already know it.

But If you re-read my post, I renamed the .py file, changed extension to py_ , so it's the same as deleting it.

After updating, the py appeared again.
