I'm trying to watch Virgin radio Rock TV from Italy, using service type 4097, 5001 or 5002, (gstplayer or exteplayer3 modes), and it stops (freezes) in less than one minute. On PC is OK.

The url is :

http://wow01.105.net/live/virgin1/playlist.m3u8

Does anybody know what can I do to get it working right for more than one minute '??

I'm currently playing it on a develop image, and so far it is playing fine. So it could be a stream type that requires a newer version of gstreamer.

edit: it just stopped, but it continued again after a few seconds. So it might be an issue elsewhere too...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Sure, because if I play it on Desktop PC using VLC, it works fine.

The Gstreamer version on my ET10000 is 1.12.4

You can't compare, PC software has lots of CPU power and even more memory and options for buffering, chances are it has the same dropouts, but you just don't notice it.

You can play a bit with buffering by changing the last digit of the service reference from a 0 to a 1 or a 2.

Develop btw uses gstreamer 1.14.1 at the moment, so that isn't it, as I experience the dropouts too.

I've already tried changing the last 0 of the service reference but results are the same (bad) ones.

:(

Another channel that suffers those dropouts is RTÉ News Now.

I've found another URL for this service (Virgin TV), but ET1000 doesn't play at all.

Videolan (PC) works OK.

The URL is rtmp://fms.105.net/live/virgin1

#SERVICE 4097:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:rtmp%3a//fms.105.net/live/virgin1/:Virgin TV It
#DESCRIPTION Virgin TV It

Do I have to do anything special to play RTMP streams ??
