Hello. Can somebody please explain to me the steps for creating a new Enigma2 flavor? I would like to try and create my own custom OS, but I do not know how or where to begin? All of the instructions that I found so far explain how to compile existing Enigma2 flavors. How do I get the core of the system, compile it, and add my own features? How do I flash a set-top-box and install the custom OS onto it? Thank you

That sounds a bit like "I want to design and build a new car, but I don't know how"?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

It's easy if you know what are you doing ;)

1- Fork https://github.com/OpenPLi/enigma2

2- Clone https://github.com/O...openpli-oe-core

3- Change https://github.com/O...enigma2.bb#L107 to your URL

4- Apply what you want to your repo (forked one from step 1)

5- Build your image.

;)

Hi WanWizard. That is exactly it :). I am a total newbie at this, and I apologize if my questions sound silly. I am trying my best to catch-up with all of the experts on this. It will take a long time, but with all of the great answers on this forum I hopefully get there one day :).

Not as such silly, but the question was very vague to me.

Don't you know python? Don't you know C++? Don't you know how Enigma works? Don't you know how to modify it? Don't you know how to compile it? All of the above? ;)

Better to tell and discuss what you want to contribute/change etc... instead of creating a new fork and go your own way...
