PLI for the mediacenter ?

Hello PLI.
i have an question and suggestion.
Is it not posible to develop pli images for the mediacenter pc as an application ?
like the same enviroment as dreambox ?
i ask this because the software available for the mediacenter pc,s are not realy based on a sattelite enviroment the zap functions are bad and recording etc are not nice.
coeld it be posible to develop or edit pli images to an tiny operating system
that can be placed on a hard drive and so on. ?
if pli does this i think they woeld be the best software ever be made.
i hope to see other reactions about this so we can discuss this also here.
