Used  Image  v6.2 20180911 on a USB stick after 15 sec. it finish and in display was text selekt language?.no picture on tv.

On USB stick are folders gigablue - quad4k ,in qua4k are some bin files, and a tar. file rootfs.tar.bz2

Should rootfs.tar.bz2 be decompressed before installed on the USB ?

After you flash an image, the setup wizard starts so you can configure the image. And the first question is "what language do you want the image to be in".

How would you expect the box to produce a picture without any configuration?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Only unzip the zip file. Don’t decompress rootfs.tar.bz2.

Hi,

From what you describe your Gigablue is properly flashed, I guess that you read the message "which language ..." on the front display of your Gigablue.

Since it is a first installation you need to turn on yourself the TV ON, the select the correct HDMI input to see the message on your TV screen.

After you have finished the installation Wizard, you can go into the HDMI-CEC setup screen and there you can activate and configure it to have your TV turned on and select the right HDMI entry.

But after a flash you always need to turn on the TV on the right entry yourself with your TV Remote Control.

Thanks for the answer.
I have change to the factory image 20170731.
Here there are no problems, the boot logo and the wizard came up on the tv screen,
now you can choose language HDMI output and so on.

(its very difficult to navigate on the tuner display)

Do you know how to change the color of numbers and letters.
In the channals and service list the letters and numbers are blue on black background,
very difficult to read.
Best regards.

Hi,

Strange the color you refer to doesn't seems to be the one used by OpenPLi by default.

Personally I use the skin:  PLi-FullNightHD

The issue is that his tv is not showing the resolution which is used on first boot. I guess he owns a Hisense model?
Try another HDMI-Port onTV. Check the tv manual and tv settings.

Try another HDMI-Port onTV. Check the tv manual and tv settings.

The TV has four HDMI input.
I have two recivers with OpenPli v6.2 latest running in port 1-2.
In port 3 i have a DVD player.
These devices are running without failor.
In port 4 Gigablue.
If i used image factory 20170731 v1708 Team GigaBlue there is no problems.
If i used image Open Vix v5.1 latest there is no problems.

When using Team GigaBlue v6.1 lates, and OpenPli v6.2 latest i got troble.
With Open Pli v6.2 latest.

Reciver Display, when booting the first 5 sec.Team Blue logo
after 3 sec.the same logo on the tv.
then display gray
on tv no signal

then on display 1 sec. logo Open Pli v6.2
tv no signal

then on display 7 sec.logo Open Pli v6.2
the same on tv

then on display grafbar booting
on tv no signal

after booting complete, the display show the startup wizard.
The tv screen change to gray.

Best regards
