The server from World of Satellite:  http://rytecepg.dyndns.tv/

has problems at the moment.

I cannot update it anymore at the moment.

and so on.  (I get a connection, but cannot do anything.  It disconnects after 20 seconds)

I contacted the webmaster of this site.

He did not respond yet.

However, for those who have updated EPGimport in the last month, the problems are over from tomorrow on.  The LastUpdate.txt file will then cause this site to be skipped.

Everbody else  (crossepg and Kodi users) will continue to download obsolete XMLTV files.  But those who have read my postings, know how I feel about these.

Apparently this was because your IP address changed (after your internet issues) and the firewall blocked the new IP.

The webmaster whitelisted your new IP last night.

It is OK now.

PS:  I do not have a fixed IP.  This will be reoccurring problem.

I have a dynDNS, but apparently that is not good enough

Perhaps it would be better for you and the webmaster to talk directly and find a way forward. I get an almost instant response from him using Skype or Slack.

In Belgium some ISP provides a dynamic IP address and force it to change after a few days even if you are 24H/24 online. So limiting access on IP address based is not the solution, this problem will occurred  again in a few days.

If there is a firewall I guess it is then better to setup a VPN so Doglover can access it with its dynamic IP address and it will be more secured.

Checked and found this:

From 28/07 -  04/10 my IP address was: 94.139.40.179

From 04/10 - 27/10 it was 94.139.48.61

And from 28/10 it is my current IP address.

It does not change all that often, but it changes.

A VPN would be helpfull.  I know how to operate with that.

Today the same thing.  No access.

And now my IP address is still the same.

Sicilian does not visit this forum regularly. Please contact him directly. As I said earlier, he responds almost instantly to Skype and Slack messages. I don't contact him by e-mail. He also responds promptly to PMs on his home forum.

I contact him via its home forum.  I just mention it here to inform everybody else.

He rebooted the server now, and everything is up again.  There is a problem somewhere, however I do not have clue what and where.  (I could also me doing something wrong, although I wonder what.  I use the same methods of updating this website as I do with the others.)
