"......... too complex for endusers; shows all modules...…."

We are always in the neverending discussion wether anything is targeted to normal users or expert users….

Why don't you make that Normal and Advanced Setup Modes  don't show it, and Expert mode show it ???

Enigma is getting old....

This was a quick hack, and it had too many side effects.

The correct solution is to have stub packages, like for the dvb drivers (https://github.com/O...ma2-dvb-drivers), so drivers can be installed with the proper dependencies (wifi drives require for example a firmware package).

This requires work, and I don't want to delay the 7.0 release because of it, and it is a bad idea to leave the hack in and remove it again in the next release.

Experts will not use this anyway, they'll ssh into the box and use opkg... ;)

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

I agree I always use the opkg command line because I could never find the plugin or whatever in the menu with all the different categories,... that's why I always provide the command lines to install the packages so I don't have to find it myself in the menu. :-)
