Hi,

Is there a possibility to reset to factory settings when making settings in a plugin?

I have adjusted too much in the plugin "AutoTimer". Then I uninstalled the AutoTimer and deleted the AutoTimer.xml. After reinstalling all previously made settings were back.

Any idea? Thank you!

@littlesat: This resets all settings? But I will reset only the settings of a plugin (autotimer)

@ims: Ok, I will try it. I use iDreamX for Mac.

I've tried it twice now, but unfortunately does not work. If I uninstall the autotimer plugin, the entries in etc/enigma2/settings persist.

The file autotimer.xml contains only the existing autotimer and has nothing to do with the settings.

So unfortunately I have to delete the config entries manually from the settings-file after uninstalling Autotimer and restarting Enigma.

Steps are:

1. Connect in telnet to your box (see wiki for the howto on Mac) and type:

init 4

2. Edit the file with your text Editor: BBedit for exemple on Mac and remove the autotimer lines.

3. Go back to your telnet session and type:

init 3

Your setting are now cleaned up.

Ah ok! I thought, if I uninstall a plugin, the plugin settings automatically will reset.

With telnet stop-start-command and edit the settings-file it will work now.

Thank you very much!
