Hello,

Did you know that Zgemma developers start to improve driver for Set Top Boxes based on the HiSilicon chip? For example Zgemma H9S?

I just checked 4K 3840x2026 with VP9 codec from YouTube via exteplayer3 and works well.
I also checked "jellyfish-120-mbps-4k-uhd-h264.mkv" H264 4K and works well.

There is still some problem with seek/jumps on the HEVC TS and sometime after pause there is problem with resume.

But with these new drivers you will see really huge improvements with playback via the exteplayer3 and gstreamer based solutions.

I'm going back to testing :)

Regards,
SSS

Nice... it suffices me that boys from zgemma can not ensure the correct behavior of the box (f.eg. H9S) in standby ;) .

I am not aware of this problem, because after I bought Zgemma H9S. I tested player based on video0 and audio0 decoders (gstreamer solution or exteplayer3) and it works bad.

They provide servicehisilicon to replace player which works nice for local content, but this is not what I was interested.

That's why my Zgemma H9S landed in the closet.  Till this day ;)

About what problem in the standby are you talking about? Do you mean deep standby (without linux working) or normal standby (active standby mode)?

@ims

This is not my use case. I don't even have a signal to be able to test.
