You have installed some plugin that does something with EPG that is not compatible with OpenPLi 7.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I installed EPG import. Is that not compatible?

I dont know what mytest.py is. Can I just delete it?

If you installed it from the plugins menu, yes, no problem.

And no, you can not simply go and delete something.

File "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens/EventView.py", line 344, in __init__
TypeError: EventViewBase__init__() takes at most 5 arguments (6 given)

indicates you have installed something that has overwritten this system file, as in OpenPLi 7, that function does take 6 arguments and not 5.

The safest way is flash the box. If you don't want to do it, you can reinstall the system files by connecting to the box with telnet, login, and type

opkg install enigma2 --force-reinstall

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Indicates indeed a function steeling plugin that is not compatible with the latest openPLi... we have already a long time that when you go to e.g. the GMEPG and go from there to service EPG that you can change services or the event and when you go back to GMEPG that the focus stays on what you did 'deeper'... and therefore this extra parameter is needed. And now the plugin steels a function that does not have the parameter....

The EPG import from our feeds should be adjusted for that.

you cannot delete the mytest file as this is a lame name for a file which is also the first python file that launches everything in python....

Here you have our EventView.py as it should be

https://github.com/O...ns/EventView.py

344 EventViewBase.__init__(self, Event, Ref, callback, similarEPGCB, parent)

These are 6 parameters... namely self (you should include that) + Event, Ref, callback, similarEPGCB, parent -> makes 6!

I suggest this is the 'stolen' function (or class) by the plugin... Its in the same file originally on line 26

def __init__(self, event, Ref, callback=None, similarEPGCB=None, parent=None)

That should go fine as expected!

I think the plugin that steals this function has something like...

def __init__(self, event, Ref, callback=None, similarEPGCB=None)

This opkg install enigma2 --force-reinstall will not help when a plugin does steal this a function....

Sure because a plugin steals a Function that does not help!

I made a fresh install with same plugins as before and now seems to be working fine.

Actually I removed Graphmultiepg as I dont use that while before I did not remove it.

GraphMultiEPG is one of ours, that wasn't the case.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Sounds like this plugin needs to be adapted..

It is third party, and afaik not maintained anymore.

It has been reported months ago, but for some reason people were against removing it from the feed (can't immediately find that topic).

I think we should, as it no longer works. People that are skilled enough to fix the problem als also skilled enough to install it manually.

I don't read PM -> if you have something to ask or to report, do it in the forum so others can benefit. I don't take freelance jobs.
Ik lees geen PM -> als je iets te vragen of te melden hebt, doe het op het forum, zodat anderen er ook wat aan hebben.
