Hello

currently under audio/video You can select various resolutions 720p/1080p/2160p... etc

and You can select refresh rate.. and here You can select AUTO /50/60 etc

is there chance to have also AUTO on resolution ? that tunner will be selecting proper resolution to signal what received and where it's played?

currently I need to have hard-selected or 1080 or 2160 for example

i have zgemma h9s

why I'm asking for that

i have 4K/60hz tv hdmi 2.0 .... what accept 2160p 50/60

but also i have projector with 1080p hdmi 1.4a

both deviced connected to A/V receiver with two outs (tv/projector)

the problem is that when selected 2160p auto refresh on zgemma projector is off due to hdmi 1.4a limitation of 3840/2160 @ max 30hz

(in same time zgemma is set to 2160p auto, signal is 2160p@50hz)

to be able to play SAT on projector each time i need to go to video/audio to change to 1080 .. and then all fine

is there any solution for that ?

like to select two video profiles, one for 4k second for 1080 ? that i can switch like to select bitrateviewer under blue buttom ? or something simillar

some plugin maybe ?

any repsond welocme, thanks

normally for this use the autoresolution plugin

Receiver:2 x Uno4k SE (PLI 7.3 rel), 1 x ET9200 (PLI 4.0), NAS: 2 x QNAP 410, TV: LG 65C8llla, LG 47LB570V, LG 42LM615S, Sound: Yamaha RX-v663, Teufel System 5 THX

ok done it,

it's better but not perfect

only what's working currently is 2160p@30 when a/v set to both main+sub (where main is TV, sub is projector)

when on a/v receiver selected only main i can set everything 2160@30/50/60 - also auto switching between channels is also fine, when it's @60, tv switch to @60 and so on;

problem is when both a/v set to main+sub, even if projector is turn-off somehow a/v "contacting" to projector and limiting all to 2160p@30 (it's max of hdmi 1.4a)

so currently all UHD channels on TV i'm running at 2160p@30 ... it's good but not perfect.. becasue of smothness of playback

what i have changed is on autoresolution section i changed UHD interlace mode to 2160p30 and uhd progressive mode to 2160p30 - when boh selected like to this, then and tv and projector working fine;

when tried to select only 2160p then no screen when a/v set to main+sub; all is fine on tv when selected main only, can be just 2160p

There appear to be many "UHD ready" devices though, that have HDMI < 2.0 connections, so max refresh is 30 Hz at max. I don't think such devices should be called "UHD", but that's another story.

AFAIK autoresolution does not have a notion of UHD refresh frequencies. Not that it would matter, because this is a HDMI-side limitation that should be negotiated using DDP. It's not dictated by the media (that's where you autoresolution) but by the receiving device.

hehe, don't know if I should be laughing or crying

in general my "expectation" is:

@main do pass through of all content from zgemma h9s; 2160p @ 50/60 (hdmi 2.0 a/b)

@sub limit or to 1080p@60 or 2160p@30 max (hdmi 1.4a spec)

i think there is no easy solution or even any to fix my issue
