It is possible to stream live tuner service (in OpenPLi) to another device, for example an Android App. What protocol is used? Maybe it exist some example on how to receive the TS stream in C++ code!

Which Android app do you recommend?

Is it possible to watch this stream directly on a TV (i.e. STB and TV connected via network, but not HDMI), for example an LG TV with Web OS 4.0?

PS. I have tested "Vu+ PlayerHD for Android" (Marusys Co.,Ltd.). However choppy video.

Simply goes on your STB with your favorite browser and see the streaming from it.

You will get a .m3u file either from the channel you want to watch or from the full favorite, simple and easy. That's what any external players are using.

Not all APP use the m3u file from OWIF.
Enigmote, Dreamplayer and dreamdroid don‘t use the m3u file. They build the steaming completly self based on their port config for streaming and trancoded streaming

Telly‘mote for example use the m3u file

Yes you are right, my reply was a shortcut. What I means to -M- is to download the .m3u file and check its content to find the syntax to launch a stream.

Thanks! In the m3u file I could see an url (i.e. http address).

and no specification of the protocol needed, it is just to read - so to say. I did a "wget" and the stream just came :-) and it is a TS stream!

PS. I will later on check out the apps recommended.
