How can I read the SNR in dB, instead of %  ?

Other boxes show them with same settings....

When the drivers support it or when we have a kind of accurate recalculation formular...

Supply an approximation formula.

Take a receiver that has the freature and create a table % on vu vs. dB on other and then based on the values try to create a conversion formular...

Preferrably not one that is already estimated, but a calibrated device.

I would do the same thing! When you buy a Vu+ you simply forget about SNR in db, it's plain and simple, they have stated themselves many times in the past that they will never support SNR in db, and the very few of their models that do is because of a pre-existing driver for that particular tuner or done by approximation in E2 and that's why there is a top value.

Even that approximation method to convert initially what - whatever might be -  a percentage to db was unnecessary in my opinion and all was done by developers' initiatives to facilitate users, but since the manufacturer does not give a damn, then why anyone would bother, honestly...

With me the same (HD51) also only appears in%.

Actually the only concrete info on the signal q is the BER and no tuner gives the correct BER :( the dmm7000 could give it... it would be nice when a tuner could give it!

Very strange, are you sure you have the correct setting?

HD51 has the most accurate db indication for a Silabs tuner equipped receiver, counting less than 0.25 increments!
