Hello

I'm user of zgema h9s with 7.0 20190617 version. Today I saw in update software (menu/sett/8 software update) that there are new packages to be installed

i made update packages with restart, in total it showed 89 packages to be update.

after sucessul update zgemma made restart, 

i found several issues, first is very slow responds of unit; after click on remote, need like 2sec to swtich channel;

another, there in no video; it's not playing any channel, on screen i see bottom info about channel, time, EPG etc... but there is picture, sound;

when click on standby buttom i see 3 lines of text continously; one is about tunner and other two....

 

thought that something went wrong, so made full install from image 7.0 20190617 version.

with this restore all returned to no issues, zgemma is responding to remote very fast, channels are switching very fast. and i see channel playback , all is fine

 

made once more the same, update packages.. and once more same result

i think its some bug with update.

 

can someone confirm or check these strange behaviours ?

Instead of updating you might have better performed an online flash.

I had the same issues that Pli_user_pl described. After flashing it with the new 7.1 version, everything started to work fine again, but it remains a strange behaviour with USB 3.0 port and my 2,5 2TB USB 3.0 HDD. If I plug it in the 2.0 port, works perfectly, but it doesn't in the 3.0 port. When I plug it, it sound like the plates are spinning, but the led doesn't blink and the STB doesn't mount the HDD, so it cannot be used. If I plug a flash drive in the same 3.0 port, works perfectly, as the 2.0 port.

It doesn't occur in the 7.0 version, so I don't know what to do to make it work in the 3.0 port in this new version.

It is not external powered. It uses USB 3.0 cable instead.

It's strange, because I used it last week before the update and everything was working excellent. The recordings were good and no problems reading while playing it.

I have no problems with my hdd in USB3.0 not powered external box (5400rpm hdd).

currently i solved this whole "issue" with 7.0 and updates.

made install of 7.1.. for this moment no issue;

 

for PVR, TS etc.  I'm using SD card, so can't confirm any USB/HDD issues. sorry

I downgraded to 7.0 20190610 version and USB 3.0 port with my HDD works again...

What files must I compare with 7.1 version? fstab?

This sounds more like a driver issue. There is nothing in the image or in the OS that deals with this, if the OS doesn't detect the disk, the rest doesn't work either.

I know only that some H9combo samples had USB3.0 which will work as USB2.0 because the final model will have SATA and they share the lines

So far I know it will not effect H9 model. Only if you install fastboot from the H9combo in the H9 you will disable USB3.0
