Hello everybody,

I have STB VU+ Zero (Open PLi 7.1) and USB HDD with already some recordings on it. I want to access them from Windows PC via my home network (Roater).

Typing the IP address of my STB in the Internet Explorer gives me a correct access to the OpenWebif. When I chose "download" some of the recordings, it works correctly and the Download manager gives me the following:

What exactly am I supposed to type in my File manager on my PC to be able to see recordings as files on the STB USB HDD and copy them maually to folders on my PC ?

Thank you for ena help.

Regards.

M.K.

Je zou de box gewoon moeten kunnen zien?

Als ik in Explorer op "Network" click zie ik ze gewoon staan:

en als ik op de box klik, staat mijn USB stick er gewoon tussen.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Yes, it is there. Easier than I expected. Thank you very much.

Woops, sorry...

You should be able to see the box?

If I click on "Network" in Windows explorer, I see all my boxes in the list. And when I click on a box, I see all its shares.

( see the attached image )

And if you see only root and harddisk in the Windows file explorer, you can access USB device via root/media.

What is this language WanWizard ? It's not German. Flemish ?

Dutch / Flemish, close enough... ;)

If you are on OpenPLi 7.1+, you should see the USB device as a share, it will automatically added and samba will be reloaded as soon as you plug the device in (via an mdev rule).

Yes I've flashed Pli7 yesterday and I've seen the USB device :P , but it was not visible on previous versions ;) .

I've learned German 2 years in school and if I have forgotten, I thought it looks like German but it is a little strange to be really German  ;) .

Correct, it's a new feature in 7.

There are some similarities between German and Dutch, both being germanic languages.
