Slow Boot after update to 7.2 VU+ Ultimo4K
ntj 15 dec 2019
Hi
Having long boot time since updating to 7.2
See logging below, (can send whole log file if needed)
Nearly 1 min at part marked in red. (something with tuning?)
(Can also write that LCDLinux is NOT installed as i have had problems before with that one)
Anyone with an idea about this?

Bump
Anyone have any guess where to start looking ?
Since writing i have tried reflash with the image from 16 Dec and no difference.
On screen when it is "pausing" during boot i will see the "Boot screen with the build date" and the channel info in the bottom of the screen but the clock to the lower left corner is not "ticking" and the Tuner info in the lower right corner shows the correct tuner letter but in Yellow (goes green after this long "paus")
When done booting everything seems normal.
Anyone any input?

It is a known issue that the VU+ drivers take ridiculously long to load and initialize, it is not limited to the Ultimo. It has already been reported twice.
Also, you have disk errors in your log, that probably isn't helping.

Hi
Thank you for the answer
Was the drivers updated from 7.1 to 7.2 as it was much faster booting with 7.1?
Will check the disk.

Hi.
Is there any chance to find openpli 7.1 version as my duo 4k has crashed after update to 7.2.
Thanks

@ntj,
My Ultimo4K boots in less then a minute and an online flash including booting takes somewhere between 3-4 minutes max.

If there is a hanging mount, the default kernel driver timeout is 120 seconds.

Thank you for pointing me into a new direction, i was sure it was related to tuners and drivers (or a setup fault with tuners)
I now disconnected the LAN cable from my Ultimo4k and it is now booting very fast without delay during boot. connect it again and boot is slow.
Question is why as i only using a internal HDD and only use the LAN for "update and EPG"

Did find an old NAS mounting in the settings from way back in time (Now disabled and is booting in 40 sec.)
