Hello,

I am curious about a certain feature, which is probably not available but I would like to make sure.

When I am watching a movie, either recorded on my HD51 or downloaded from the internet, I sometimes want to add subtitles to it.

Unfortunately, it is often not possible to match correct subtitles because of commercial breaks (for recorded movies) or some other issues. They are simply out of sync or they become out-of-sync as the film progresses.

Is it perhaps possible to adjust subtitles when watching a movie "on the fly" by delaying or advancing them by one second or a couple of seconds? That would be a very convenient feature.

When you have subtitles active, pres Yellow, Yellow, Blue (or Subtitles, Blue). You can define a delta from -10 to +20 seconds.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Just a quick question.

Is it possible to use external SRT subtitles with a movie recorded from TV (TS file)?

How to do that?

Change suffix from ts to e.g. mpg. Then file will be played back with gstreamer. And with gstreamer you can external srt subtitles afaik.
(Don’t know how good it works)
