Hello,

I try to use niece feature from OpenPLI - Fallback tuner. Streaming works fine, even for 4K. I have Vu+ ultimo 4K as a streamer, and Vu+ Uno 4K as receiver. Ultimo have 2 tuners, and I can see two different channels, but why streaming stops, when I put my Ultimo 4k to standby (I am not using deep standby). when I check my network, I still see stream is still there, but on TV i see black picture. when I return my ultimo 4K back from standby, I see a picture immediately.

This behavior I see only for DVB-S. I also have DVB-T in my ultimo. And streaming from DVB-T works perfect. Seems something happens with LNB on standby. any help? maybe I need to change some settings?

Edward

Which OpenPLi version?

I don't have an Ultimo 4K, but I recall issues around LNB power in standby, which were fixed in the latest driver update.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Hello Again

I have VU+ 4K ultimo. this device have 2 tuners.

Brand & Model: Vu+ Ultimo4K Chipset: 7444s Main Memory: 1440328 kB free / 1617140 kB total Box Uptime: 0:17 Software System OE: PLi-OE Firmware version: OpenPLi 7.2-release (2020-04-12-develop) Kernel / Drivers: 3.14.28 / 3.14.28-20190424.r0.1

Tuners

I have DVB-S2 & DVB-T.

My assumption, when I turn on my STB on DVB-T channel, I should stream DVB-S channel to another STB???? but when I try it, i see just streaming black screen.

also I make another test.

I have VU+ Uno4K (NIM 45208 only) & VU+ Ultimo4k (NIM 45208 NIM SSH108)

All boxes are in standby mode.

I can stream any DVB-S2 channel from Uno4K , but from Ultimo4k I can steream only DVB-T channel's

Seems it's a problem not with driver, as Uno4K  can stream DVB-S2 in standby mode. Seems it's a problem with dual tuner in Ultimo4k.

P.S. but when I turn On my Ultimo4k & zap to channel, which I strem, then I see picture.

How do you stream?

If you are using the fallback tuner, that only works if there are no local tuners available. So if your Uno has no sat cable attached, you need to disable the tuner.

Then your tuner configuration must be wrong.

Hello,

config is reset to default. And I am sure, it's not a problem with configuration.

because when I zap to DVB-S channel, then I can stream it. and see picture. then I put stb to standby, still see the stream.

So one more time.

if box in stand by mode, I can stream DVB-T channels, but DVB-S give a stream with black screen. So, it's streaming, but black screen. Then I turn on my STB, and zap to same DVB-S channel. and as result I see a a video stream.

I have absolutely no clue. I don't see how this is technically possible.

You don't have some weird softcam or CI module setup? Does it also not work with you select an unencrypted DVB-S channel?

I wouldn't know what, streaming is technically the same as a recording, and Oscam doesn't care what you request, nor if the box is in standby or not.

So I have no clue what your issue is.
