Hi here,

I was about to cut some recordings but I'm facing a small (?) issue.

The cut can't be done because : "Impossible to open the entry file .ap"

Could you let me know if I could do something ?

Thanks in advance !

Where and how do you get that message? I can't find it anywhere in the source code...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Hi,

I used that plugin and thanks to it I could cut back

However it doesn't reconstruct all .ap files I wished it had. Any idea why ?

@WanWizard, I had this message this way : PVR>HDD movies>Selectedfile.ts>Menu>...

Here are some screenshots :

I'd like to add the following information :

- With those "unreconstructable" .ts files I'm quite stacked ; Impossible to transfer those files back to an external drive by ftp. I noticed that videos transfer wel until they arrive at the time where the .ts is freezing for a sec. And the transfer stops at that moment. On my external device I get then a file that stops at that moment whilst I can watch it entirely on the stb.

I've got the feeling that if I could reconstruct the .ap file I could edit and cut this .ts file at the moment that seems to be the cause of this issue. Not 100% sure though...

Yes I had the same issue recently, not just with pli but other images too. Never had this problem before with my old vu solo2 but started when I changed to the 4k gigablue (ARM). But luckily, as ims pointed ut above, the reconstructapsc plugin will sort this issue :).

As information I would like to say that it is possible to plat ts files without any other associated files. I'm unsure about the situation above, but if the problem is with any of the other files. Try to have only the ts file. For example by copy the ts file to another name and play that file.

May I ask a question little associated with the subject:

Is it any good Linux (Ubuntu) application with GUI that can cut TS files?

Important that the video/audio packets isn't transcoded, they should be left untouched.

the reconstructapsc plugin doesn't reconstruct the .ap files of the TS that I just mentionned. It reconstructs it wel for all the other TS but not those which are untransferrable...

I tried. I can not trasfer the TS file entirely. It always stops transferring at the stage where there's a glitch in that TS.
As a matter of fact, I see the full (like 4Go) TS in hdd/media/movie but when I want to copy that file anywhere else it turns out into a 2,6Go TS because the copy stops at the time where is that glitch...

Smells like disk corruption, which aborts the copy due to read errors...

Yes it does :/

Do you have explanation for the reason the Dreambox can read it even though there's an error while transfer isn't possible ?
