Update to latest Jade

All I want to update to the latest JAde but want to do a general tidy up on the Box.
I have a few questions.
1:
When I browse to the Share \192.168.xxx.xxxConfiguration is this on the hard drive or on the firmware. (the os is on the device)
2:
there is a folder called tubxox in the above follder with a config folder in it. thing is there is a sub folder called config and one in that called config, it goes on and on
\192.168.0.xxxConfiguration uxboxconfigconfigconfigconfigconfigconfigconfigconfigconfigconfigconfigconfigconfigconfigconfig
Surely this is not right.
3:
Is there a way to browse onto the CF card to clear off any files from an attempt to install an image on it. Its only used for EPG data from Sky.
4:

1. This is the "directory" /var. So, on the internal flash.
2. No, surely not right. Never seen it before, though.
3. You can just open /media/cf during ftp.
