Have installed 7.3 on one of my Gigablue box. It's a Ultra UE, working perfect, way better then the I have tried. But there is a strange problem, the lcd (front screen) is not working good.

Under boot, everything is as normal, when looking at a channel, the screen gives a tiny tiny clock, but once a while shows the channelname, clock and so on as normal, but just for 1/2 sec. About 2 times a minute. Same as when I go into different meny on the box, the lcd screen seems to be working fine, but just for 1/2 sec every time.

 

Have tried a couple of skins, don't seems that the problem is there.

 

Any idea?

Perhaps you have installed in system plugins "Vfdcontrol" ? You better remove this plugin for your type of box. And restart.

Did deinstall that plugin, did not solve the problem. hmm

on my gigablue uhd quad 4k is the same problem, skin change didn't help even lcd4linux, time is very small

It might be good of the ones that experience issues on their display, GB or any other, inform us what skin is used.

As a picture says more then 1000 words please add an example of your display.
I can’t confirm any of the reported issues at this moment.

Displays shows this info with latest 7.3 Release.

I really don’t understand the problem or better why you have a complete different layout with the same skin I use.
This is the layout when the box is in standby. If one can’t see this he really should buy a new pair of glasses.

I assume that some plug-in has changed your layout. My box is default installed without any (probably) weird plugins that adapt the layout.
For those that experience issues I don’t think the skinner will adapt the skin due to a personal request.

I do a clean installation tomorrow and let you now.

It's either LCD4Linux that overrides the default display skin, or the default display skin is replaces or overridden, possibly when installing a different skin.

I flasheed 5th October 7.3 image on a GB UE 4K. No plugins installed, using pli full night HD. I cannot reproduce the issue either. Maybe the others with a GB UE 4K with the issue can flash a new PLI image in one of teh other slots and not restore settings to check if it is a corrupt setting somewhere? If you still have an issue, can you please post exact steps to reproduce the issue?

 

Does the GB Quad 4K have the same LCD dimensions? The front panel skins are significantly different

As an aside, the blue tint in the used to be on OE-A images. I am not sure what was chaneged to fix it.

gigablue uhd quad 4k - the problem with the small clock is only in standby mode
