oscam slow behaviour

daveraver's Photo daveraver 29 Jan 2021

sometimes, I dont know exactly, after an enigma restart.... I dont know why, oscam has a slow zapping behaviour, after box reboot it turns on the normal state. On version openpli 7.3 it didnt happen.

I am using formuler f1 and openpli 8.0 release.

regards,

OScam needs your box to have the time set before starting. So the best way is to install systemtime ok your box and configure it to get its time from the NTP server.

Unless you're running develop which has NTP enabled by default. I'm contemplating backporting that to 8.0.

Would be nice to launch 8.1 or cherry pick it into 8.0.

Even with system time set to NTP the box takes 3-5 seconds to update time after full bootup.

Can the system time be run while enigma2 is booting?

I tested the feed openpli version, not emu, r11678. Now I could see that if you have installed cccam when you pass from cccam an restart to oscam, softcam often keeps looking to cccam server and return to cs378x reader I use.... I changed the oscam binary for another one compiled by me with simplebuild, r11682, same behaviour. The post I've written about it today, it can be deleted, I am sorry to duplicate the issue...

Current develop has NTP built-in, which runs on "interface up", so a soon as there is network connectivity.
