Hello Folks,

Hope you are doing well and staying safe.

I noticed that bitrate viewer plugin does not work completely on VU+ Zero 4k Openpli 8, only audio info is displayed while Video info show 0 everywhere.

I tried same plugin on VU+ Zero and it works like q chqrm.

Could anyone please help with fixing issue with 4k model ?

Thanks a lot

Not really. Not on an ultimo4k with a fbc (dvb-c).

2 x ultimo4k (dvb-c fbc + 1 dvb-s2, 8.3r/nb) + een et10k/osmini (geen tuners en dus fallbackclient, nb) met een Synology ds214+ (2 x 6 TB) op DSM 7.1.1 in ziggo oost (voormalig @Home) + A1/A2/A3/HB (TechniSat)

This is known for years on the VU+Zero4K. The tuner simply doesn't support it.. It's a hardware thing....

I only have dvb-c and it works fine on my Ultimo 4k with FBC-C tuner.

On some channels bitviewer works but certainly not on all channels.

strange that tuner is cause of issue

because even IPTV channels that do not use Tuner display video stats =0

No, it doesn't use the tuner, but it does use the SoC hardware.

Which IPTV channels? If they are in MPEG-TS format, or in another format that is pushed into the hardware mediasink, the bitrate viewer should work fine. For example a stream from another box. But streams processed in software, using external players, I doubt it. I've tried about 10 different public streams, none give bitrates...

See https://github.com/E...ool/bitrate.cpp, it accesses and reads the hardware demuxer.

Given this I wouldn't know of a reason why it wouldn't work on (some) DVB-C channels...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Maybe need restart bitrate.

"Show 'restart bitrate' in extensions menu" set yes.

No, restarting bitviewer gives no improvement.

Funny, on my fallback client (et10k without tuners, develop) the bitrateviewer works on a dvb-c channel called "NPO Politiek" while on the fallbackserver (Ultimo4k with a fbc-c tuner, 8.0r) this bitrateviewer doesn't work on the same channel.

I have similar problem with OpenPli 8.0 on a Gigablue Quad 4k. The bitrate viewer shows the audio rate only, the video is 0.
Is there any fix?

No fix yet, And I think the creator of this plugin will not fix this, he is talking that restarting bitrate-viewer will fix it but it doesn't. :(

Strange thing is when it is in simple more it does output the video bitrate, just not in complete mode.

No changes are made to a release image, unless it is to fix a breaking bug.
