guess you could compile mysql for ppc, but it would be bloody slow. especially with the limited ram the box has free.
why would you want to ? you can get a cheap refurb computer for like $200 that would have 100x the processing power.

I don't want to do that, it's just I had a discussion wether to choose for a NAS or let the DM600 be a NAS.
So that's why I asked if a DM600 could be a MySQL Server, because a QNAP or Synology can be a SQL Server.
