I was wondering why a nCam, possibly the official one, was not placed in the softcam panel?
From personal experience I find it more stable than the oScam.

It is a 'fork' from oscam. It offers a feature that oscam does not support yet.

For know I can only find binary files from this oscam clone and we are also not aware if there might by additional features inside it you should avoid....

When someone knows where the sources are (they have to because when they follow the licenses from oscam) someone can create a recipe for it - and with the sources we can also fully confirm somehow that no 'surprises' are included.

I know that it is a derivative of oscam but I noticed that on my V + 4K it is faster in the channel change and even "opens" more on equal terms with the oscam.

Even better maintained…. But why diner get a fork from oscam instead of merging to oscam?

By the way, have you tried to install the official version correctly?
I tried but failed while the unofficial ipk file installs correctly.
If you did, can you tell me how?
Thank you.

Well, to be honest, I did, yesterday I build a ncam build on my build server for a Ultimo4k but I still see no benefits compared with a normal oscam(-emu) build.

Simply done with ipk?

Ncam has only one advantage… for specific encryption systems it downloads
key files from the www when it tries to encrypt a service via the emu and the key is not known. Something it seems is not offered via a merge request to oscam-emu.

Ok but how to install?

->

Tech did build it for testing on his own private build environment.... so it cannot be installed from our public feeds (yet). This still depends on the real added value for this 'just another' rebranded fork from oscam.

I personally think we should strive to keep only the original -and- promote added value should be merged back to the original... So I think it is better to ask in the streamboard forum, the Oscam's home forum ,-or- maybe better arrange a merge request or comments on the oscam-emu github to get the added value implemented in the original Oscam(-emu) instead of promoting such rebranded fork.

I don't want to install it from feed but personally.
