I have started developing my own skin for OpenPLi.

Its still work in progress so i dont have yet all the screens. But i'd like to share a small preview of what it looks like now.

The idea is to be simple and not overloaded with stuff. But at same time modern.

I start adding other screens and came into the problem with the ugly scrollbar

So i started experimenting with custom one.

Unfortunately that can not work on normal image. It needs python modifications. On normal images it will show nothing.

If python modifications do not adversely affect image or add complications, maybe they will be added to the image if a request is submitted.

Well honestly is very difficult some PR to be accepted  in OpenPLi. So in general i doubt this will happen.

In my opinion the best will be a c++ code to be extended so eListbox to supports horizontal layout and eSlider to supports complete re-skinning.

My change is only python based because i have no possibility to rebuild the image and it require some standard screens to be extended with a small addon that inject the new scrollbar/pager (the dots on my screenshot).

So i don't think this will be accepted from PLi team.

However if you guys decide to consider such an extension contact me and we can talk further.

 

P.S. i have already proposed some cosmetic changes for the main menu (the icons for the items) and answer was "Who need this". So dont keep hopes

I think the 'we don't need this' reaction was about the default skin and not about your skin.

This is still WIP so not really completed.

Also some changes is undergoing in enigma and pager renderer that have to be completed before to provide an ipk.

* Your skin has Rounded corners but I prefer Rectangular (like neutrino skin choise) corners 

*I adore merlin4 skins and fonts. Can i pay your attention like these skins lack 1.1 skin or moietyFHD1.5 (old school but probably the best skins)

*Can you please do bigger picon place for 400x240 picons.
