Yeah I managed to fix it but it messed with my playlist sadly would anyone here be able to help me if I was to send it?

Hi.

@BxbbyBrxwn:

I don't understand exactly. Please write this comment again. A little more understandable.

@WanWizard:

Isn't that stupid way ? The folder "/tmp" serves by default in most Linux set-top boxes as a temporary folder, located and created as a RAM-disk. This means that when set-top box is rebooting, the previously created RAM-disk is lost and a new one is created again - when booting the Linux system. So there will probably be nothing in the "/tmp" folder after the reboot.

Wouldn't it be better to turn on the debugging mode normally in MENU OpenPLi and reboot the set-top box ? Then... in the event of an error... find and send the appropriate debug file from the set-top box (from the internal flash/SSD disk in the set-top box).

In Topic: Qviart Lunix 4K always freezes on boot after updating packages

Hi.

Exactly at which stage does this booting get stuck ? How does it look ?

Is it possible to connect to a stuck set-top box via a terminal (telnet / ssh) ? This would mean that Linux is already running, so the error is likely to be on the drivers side (an error between Linux and the set-top box). If so... maybe the fault could also be diagnosed via terminal connection. Alternatively, you can also test, what @WanWizard wrote above.

Unfortunately, Qviart Lunix does not always supply new / updated drivers for Linux. If I remember correctly, no one wants to support Qviart Lunix in Enigma2 teams due to old drivers and old linux-kernel.

Why do you actually want to perform this reboot ? What is the reason ? Is something not working correctly ? Maybe it could be solved in another way. Hmmm...

Hi. Why such a big time difference - so many minutes ? After all, rebooting doesn't take that long, even on old set-top boxes. Rebooting the Linux set-top box takes a maximum of 2-3 minutes. Or does it have some other meaning that there is a difference of 15 and 25 minutes ? A difference of 5 minutes or even less (eg 2-4 minutes) would really be enough. And not 10 minutes.

Exactly so... in both cases (CCcam + OSCam) I only use configuration files and their manual editing, never Web-GUI :).
