The french providers are not sending the full EIT EPG on there channels, they used a proprietary solution for there EPG information.

So by defaut you only have the now/next EPG guide displayed and the description is often missing.

 

So to have a propre EPG on the french channel you need to install the plugin EPGimport  (enigma2-plugin-extensions-epgimport) by default it will install the Rytec source.

Once installed go into and select the source France XMLTV and there select the France -XXXX packages.

 

You will then have the full EPG on the french channels.

Let's try an explanation:

 

Vu+ is brand owned by Marusys. Marusys is developping models for the legal TV providers (closed source), so, so far, Marusys was active on both the proprietary closed source STB and the OpenSource one.

Vu+ is building models based on Broadcom SoCs, broadcom is closing the door to create "OpenSource" STB based on there SoCs.

So the equation is very simple if Marusys wants to continue on the "OpenSource" market they need to find another SoC partner (HiSilicon,...) and develop new skills around this new SoC manufacturer or they retired from the "OpenSource" market and focus only on BCM.

So I won't be suprised if Vu+ no longer announced new models and silently retired from the OpenSource market.

Launch OScam by hand to see the error message it reports. I guess that you need to install libcrypto / libcrypto-compat in order for your private OScam to be able to start.

I don' think that we can do anything about this.

 

I have tested my PULSe 4K on a few years old Sony Android TV by enabling use TV RCU to control STB in HDMI-CEC setup screen.

Result is:

- OK button on TV RCU is interpreted as Menu by the PULSe 4K

- Arrows keys around TV RCU are all interpreted as OK by the PULSe 4K

 

For the HDMI-CEC switch TV to correct entry it only works after 45 seconds in the PULSe 4K with this TV.

 

I also try to enable use TV RCU on the VU+ Duo 4K attached to the same TV and with it nothing is working.

 

So HDMI-CEC is not really a standard like you can expect to be.

 

But if developers explain how to debug to try to improve the mapping (if it is possible) I can perform some more testing and take some traces.

If all the key are transferred to the TV then you can no longer control your STB ok button should not be the same as the one from your TV and opposite is true too.
So when enabling the control STB with the TV remote don't expect every key to be mapped.
I have the same with my Sony TV I can control the STB from the Sony RCU but only a few keys are mapped.

Are you using some kind of illegal IPTV?  There are chances that they defined the wrong EPG to those service reference and didn't update them to the correct one.

So I guess it is the iPTV provider that mess up your EPG.

If you use modern webif then you no longer have this option easily accessible, you need to go into the bouquet editor.

Turn the OpenWebif into classic mode and you will be able to easily download the full bouquet in the m3u format.

I have created a ticket in the GitHub of OpenWebif tohave the same in "modern UI" I need to find it back.

OpenPLi is never modying the splash screen so there is no OpenPLi splash screen.

You need to find the official splash screen or flash the manufacturer official image hoping that they include the splash screen.

It's a real pity images that think smart to replace the manufacturer splash screen.
