Yup. This is removed to avoid people brickting their box by updating.
We're working very hard to find the cause of the problem, so we can fix it.

REQUEST:If you have the green screen problem after you did an update via the menu, please try to get the file /home/root/ipkgupgrade.log from the box before doing anything, and upload it here.
if you still have a box with 7.1-release on it, could you login, issue the command "opkg list-upgradable --verbosity=4", and post the result here. And wait for confirmation before actually do the update?
We can not reproduce this issue, maybe that file will shed some light on why the update sometimes fails.

That is how it should work, yeah. But until now no clue why it doesn't.
Just spend half an hour comparing package versions between 7.1 and 7.2, and for all but one there is an update in the feed, so that can't be it. But if I update my test box doesn't even boot anymore.
Now running a manual package-by-package update (all 4xx of them) so see if there are any error messages.

If so, login, and copy and paste these commands (one line at the time):
init 4 opkg update for f in `opkg list-installed`; do if [ "$f" != "-" -a "`echo $f | grep -c "^[0-9].*"`" -eq 0 ]; then opkg install $f --force-reinstall; fi; done reboot
this will stop Enigma, refresh all installed packages, and restarts the box.
edit:
Issue has been identified as a missing package, required for the kernel update. This fixes it (and is a lot faster than the above):
opkg mtd-utils opkg install kernel-image --force-reinstall

3rd-party feeds and the picon feed work again.

Afaik the red button is being phased out, as it is redundant. In most cases, the same is true for the green button (vs de ok button).
Having said that, if the red button no longer works, it should not be displayed, Is is not related to the skin btw, it is generated by the code.

Standard feeds work again, there are still issues with the 3rd-party feeds...

As of today, OpenPLi 7.2-release is available for installation.
Boxes with 7.1-release installed will automatically be upgraded when you do a software update from the menu.
Boxes with another image sersions will have to be flashed.
In the next days we will remove the 7.2 release candidate from our download servers, including the plugin feeds.
edit: problems have been reported when updating the box, some of them no longer start after the update.
It is therefore highly recommended that you flash the new image via the setup menu, and choose for "with a backup" (nb: this requires a local disk or USB stick).

I didn't say there were no changes, I said there were no significant changes: https://github.com/e...71ff68ed9dbd9a3
Your example is what I call "a detail", not "a significant change".

Which is why we said that nothing substantial had changed, and therefore the update was rather pointless.
