I find this to be much cleaner and less confusing compared to having many selections in one menu.. Shorter menus IMO are better.

You think so and I am sure you can’t replace the tuners. These are different models.Don't think so. I did not see provisions for easily swapping tuners easily when I installed the interval SSD in my SF8008 Supreme.
From a technical point of view,
Are different printed circuit boards used in these two models, Or are the same boards used with different tuners. My line of thinking is technically the tuners could be swapped providing the same board is used, and providing the proper tools are available to swap the parts.
