Hello

I use OpenPli 9 on a Vu+ Duo 4K SE.

This day, I had a general power outage for a few minutes.

Since then 'VU' remains displayed on the STB and TV screen.

I have a very recent backup on a USB stick.

I just tried to flash the image.

Everything seems to be going normally but in the end I have the message 'Update Complete' displayed on the STB screen and it remains stuck like this.

A second attempt gives the same result.

Help would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

PS : I have another STB (Mutant HD51) with the same image which worked normally again.

How did you flash the image?

If the VU+ logo remains on the display, the bootloader can't find the boot partition, can't read the boot partition, or the partition is corrupt.

All should be fixed with a complete wipe of flash, which is what flashing with a USB stick does ( providing there are was hardware damage ).

With a USB key and the last backup made with BackupSuite.

Should I do otherwise ?

This morning I put new blank image on a USB stick and flashed the Vu+.

It started on the image already installed without having to configure it.

Everything is good and I remember what to do if it happens again.

Thank you @WanWizard. :thumbs-up: :thumbs-up:

One of the problems with backupsuite is that the images produced can be very large, and most bootloaders have a maximum size restriction.

For most users, backupsuite is pointless, you could better configure autobackup to make a nightly backup on local storage ( I use a USB stick for that purpose, as I don't have boxes with local storage ).

If you have plugins that don't store their config in /etc/enigma2, you can add those files to the autobackup manually.

When you have an autobackup, you will be prompted for a restore after you have flashed the box. We use this on a daily basis.

Take note of the disadvantages of BackupSuite.

Thanks again.
