I tried to install GIT to VU+ DUO 4K SE, but it is not available in the repo:
opkg install git * opkg_prepare_url_for_install: Couldn't find anything to satisfy 'git'.
Could be possible to make available git install?
Thanks!

You can probably build it?
Until now nobody has seen the point of having development tools on a DVB receiver.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Well, VU+ DUO 4K SE has two USB3 ports.
So I attached 2 external disks to upgrade the recording disk from 2TB to 3TB.
Copied the files, then I wanted to check if the directory sizes are the same.
I found a git solution to list the 1st level directory sizes:
git diff --no-index dir1/ dir2/
I also tried du command, but it gave different sizes because of the different block sizes of the two drives.
So I wanted to use the git solution listed above, but I did not found a way to install git, not a way to compile git in place.
I have no installed Linux at home, so I wanted to install or compile it locally on the DVB receiver.

Our buildservers are currently down pending a redesign of our build farm, so for the moment I can't do anything ( and my priorities are elsewhere ).
