You should have kept the old entries for KEY_NEXTSONG and KEY_PREVIOUSSONG instead.

 

Because now on a keyboard, "first" and "last" are missing and "top" and "bottom" are duplicated.

With a remote… with << >> |< and >| keys… never worked with keyboard. Maybe find other keys on keyboard…

It definetely works with a keyboard. I have one connected to the box.

 

What kind of remote control are you using, that has the keys |< and >| ?

Zgemma, but now I see eg vu+ does also not have them.
Work-a-round could be using short >> << and long >> << to extend functionality and do for example the same but revert for |< >|. Short on break and long….I hope you understand what I mean…

I have tried with long press on << and >> but it did not work correctly. It executed then both, first the short and then the long command.

 

You could revert KEY_NEXTSONG and KEY_PREVIOUSSONG to what they were assigned before. We never used "top" and "bottom" anyway and nobody missed it.

The majority of RC's do not even have these buttons.

At second thought, there are more Zgemma users than keyboard users. So I guess, your solution is the best possible.

 

Keyboard owners can use the buttons F9 and F10 instead.

When it executed both you need to change the short press from make to release. But maybe better to do top/bottom with the channel/bouquet up/down buttons with long and the short (releas) for page up/down…. And do first last with both the >> << and |< >|
