Hi,

As I have already written, I am moving my Ultimo 4k between 2 homes where I go regularly. I therefore need to modify several parameters such as the network parameters, the list of channels (different TNT transmitter) and the Overscan wizard which is not the same on the 2 televisions.

For the list of channels, I use a script that copies the desired lamdb file into etc/enigma2.

In the same script, I copy the interfaces file into etc/network. Thank you WanWizard for giving me the name of the file ;) . The script works fine.

I would need the name of the file that stores the information of the overscan wizard so that I no longer have to manually and frequently modify this configuration.

Thank you :) .

To start with an open door: isn't it better to fix the overscan on the TV, instead of losing 5% or more of the image?

The overscan config is stored in /etc/enigma2/settings, with keys starting with "config.plugins.OSDPositionSetup".

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Thanks WanWizard for the info :) .

I would like to manage it in the televisions but I don't see how to correct the overscan of the 2 televisions (Samsung and Sony). When I go to the Image settings of the Samsung, I find the possibility to switch to 4/3, to 16/9, "Adapt to screen"... Currently, there is "Adapt to screen".

There is also a Position menu but it only allows you to reset the settings.

As it is, depending on the television, either it crops a very small part of the periphery of the Openpli screens (the menu or the movie manager for example), or we see a very small part of the current program on the periphery of the Openpli screens :( .

If it is not clear, I can make screenshots ;) .

It is clear, which is why I say using the overscan options should be a last resort.

What are the exact models of both TV's, maybe someone knows how to fix the overscan, in some menu's it is very well hidden.

I have two Samsungs here. One has "16:9", "Wide zoom", "Zoom", "4:3" and "Screen fit", and the last one disables overscan. On the second one, there are no options in the menu, I had to force the HDMI input to PC mode, which also disables overscan.

Sony are notoriously difficult, you might want to look for "Aspect Ratio" or "Display Area" and options like "Full Pixel".

( sorry, don't know the French translations ;) )

you may delete settings (make a backup of the file)

init 4

rm /etc/enigma2/settings

init 3

(halt)

that will start the wizard again

The question was about the specific config settings so the switch between OSD configs for both TV's could be automated.

Mrvica, I don't know if I understood your answer correctly, but to access the wizard, it's easier to go to the "Audio/Video" settings. But that's what I want to automate.

WanWizard, the next time I go to the other house, I'll look at the Sony again to see if I can find something. But while the Samsung settings menu is simple and clear, the Sony one is a real mess.

However, since the settings file is modified quite regularly, it doesn't seem interesting to me to memorize the 2 files that would no longer necessarily be up to date. So I would have to make a Python program that would replace the 4 lines of the overscan wizard with one of the 2 memorized games.

I thought you wanted to invoke the Setup Wizard again, just like after doing the image flashing
