The new startup wizard doesn't save my tuner settings?
Scanned channels are grayed out when Wizard is finished.
I have to set the tuner settings once more via the Menu and then it's OK.

Some additional feedback about the new start wizard, if I may:

  • Tuner setup: Selecting a country for DVB-T with the [OK] button, will not load the corresponding regions. (selecting the country with [Left] or [Right] does)

  •

  • Channel list: If selected "Install channel list" -> "No", it does not remember this choice. Navigating with "Prevouis Wizard" / "Next Wizard" would then install a list and this cannot be undone at this stage.

A nicer label for the buttons would be "Next page" or "Next step". Preferably with the page number for better orientation (e.g 1/7).

[OK] and [Exit] buttons are also active in the wizard. But they are not displayed, which could cause confusion.

First

Updating the lists (e.g. country/region for dvb-t) are resolved.

https://github.com/O...34801f72e3a5844

Channel list: If selected "Install channel list" -> "No", it does not remember this choice. Navigating with "Prevouis Wizard" / "Next Wizard" would then install a list and this cannot be undone at this stage.

->

As far I know this was never the case for the "Install channel List" that it remembers the "No"....  "No" was never a real config here so it could never be remembered.

Indeed it seems the configs were not correctly saved.... at least without a 'good restart' from enigma2. I needed a second commit to resolve this. It could be related to the changes in ConfigList... but I needed to add something that saves the configs required

Page number is not realy possible as pages could change/disappear… it also depends in choices and also number of tuners and you also cannot go all the way back always. But Renaming it next/previous page is possible. In the past this was already possible. OK for next and exit for back. Somehow having this on red/blue is more clear I suppose…

The navigation with red and blue feels somewhat strange. We're used to green and red (OK and Exit) in Enigma.

Why can't the default skin be used for the install wizard?

Only a suggestion... with the usual button layout at the bottom, the wizard would look more familiar.

But more importantly, the wizard skips the automatic detection of the satellites.

Maybe that is the reason, why the tuner settings were not saved, as reported by the OP.

The wizard code is extreme complicated. For the 9.1 I never can simplify it. So for now it is what it is. With rewriting the wizard hundreds off lines of code can be saved.
In config now special actions are on yellow/blue and green is save. That is why I choose blue en red for next/precious. On the Remote That I Think also feel more logical.
But be aware that all come together here in regards to the challenge the changes ‘others’ initiated in regards to the new config stuff.
It should not skip the autodiseqc stuff…. Needs investigation…
With latest changes sat config is saved.

Is there a deadline for releasing PLi 9.1? Maybe someone could help, you're already doing so much...

Yep... before 9.1 all bugs should be gone...

The StartUpWizard was for a long time a candidate to streamline....

I just pushed some other fixes, which were relativaly small... e.g. the download list is a kind of exception... making stuff complicated and with 'blue' sometimes stuff in a config was not executed.
