Post #17 clearly shows the wifi hardware is detected on cold boot, the driver is loaded, the interface is created, and the interface having a local LAN IP address.
So I'm a bit clueless to what exactly the problem is now, and the original complaint was "no wifi interface after cold boot" ?
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

The issue is that you're not very clear with your "I have no wifi" statement.
Because again, this shows that the device is detected, the driver for the device is loaded, the interface (wlan0) is created, and the device has a valid IPv4 and IPv6 address (and as IPv6 is assigned by the router, this also shows your box has an operational connection to your (wifi) router.
So, what EXACTLY do you mean, as for me, this is all how it should be. Albeit with quite a few packet drops, so clearly not a very optimal connection.
edit: also quite a lot of packet drops on your wired connection, which is weird, perhaps your PC is wirelessly connected too, and that is causing the drops?

Ah, that explains .
Here,
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0bda:c820
is not present, meaning the device is not detected, which in the base is a hardware problem.
You could try to see if it appears after issuing the command
udevadm trigger
but I doubt it.

Just connected my HD66SE, no issues with the wireless connection on the first boot in 15 months...

so it's my mutant that's the problem, it's no longer guaranteed and I don't have enough knowledge of electronics to do anything about it.

Tried both the switch and deep standby + on via the remote, in all cases wifi works. So yes, I'm afraid you have a localized hardware issue.

I asked thet before, but as I understood it is not a seperate module, but integrated on the mainboard.

Try checking the WiFi module connection cable. Pull out/insert.

Or, for a few bucks, sth like https://www.tp-link....uter/tl-wr702n/
It could be a solution, but I'd hate to have to add another device when I'm supposed to already have wifi.
10 Bucks vs the time you and others investigated so far...
And maybe your problem is really a hardware defect?
