The screen where you download plugins is now really confusing. Instead of an explanation how to install plugins, you get a red button "Remove plugins".

I know that the intention was to combine install and uninstall on one screen...

But since the user has chosen to "Download Plugins" on the previous screen, showing "Remove plugins" on the next screen is just weird.

You need to press OK to install it.... RED is to toggle back to delete. But I can imagine this could be confusing... The 'feel' was always pressing OK here and toggling between remove/install was previously not possible.

I agree that a button to delete someting on a page to install something is confusing. There is nothing to delete there. Or there shouldn't be.

If it is supposed to switch from "install" to "delete", the key label is incorrect, it should say something like "view installed plugins".

I also agree... but I did not noted it and was never noted about it.... A quicklink between remove/install plugins was on my 2do list...

I suggest it is better this way: https://github.com/O...2456e2718d45cfc?

AND

https://github.com/O...053ac488b0d2f40 for the finishing touch...

In fact also better and more consequent to have the red/green buttons here for cancel and also execute...  :) (and not to switch between install/remove).

@Stan, thanks for testing and everything you find.... Good points to finalize stuff for the release of 9.1

Still an odd text for the labels. Something like "Remove installed plugins" and "Install new plugins" might be better?

Thank you both for your tireless efforts and for looking into the reported issues.

I have skipped PLi 9.0 (like I skipped Windows8 :P ), but now I am really looking forward to switch to 9.1

If you don't mind, I'll post some more findings until the release date.

It is difficult to find short wordings to ‘swap’ from remove to install… maybe swap to remove/swap to install… ?

Don't stop then!

We have no people to test everthing all the time, and as most developers have, some blindness when it comes to features implemented.

If the "Plugins" menu is opened, we have RED = "Remove plugins" and GREEN = "Download plugins". The description of the BLUE button should 100% match these two labels, as it does exactly the same as the Green/Red ones.

Let’s not treat users like fools. If they use the blue button, they can see in the page header where they’ve ended up.

Looks quite good. The only bad, is that the toggle option is still there. The distraction it causes is not justified by any added value. Always makes you want to check the header, if you're in the right mode.

And one remark, I believe the common terminology for TreeView is Expand / Collapse (not Compress).

It is you opinion. If it doesn't add value for you, it might add value for others.

I was tired to get back to the plugin screen to remove e.g. an by accident installed plugin....

I used the same terms we use in the FlashImage screen.

That was exactly the only scenario that I could think of, why it was put there.

And now, this will happen even more often.

Then they're both wrong,. Stan is correct.

B-4 I merge something....

I'm afraid that collapse is wrong.... collapse means somehow it 'breaks down in pieces' and that does not happen here...

https://www.google.c...chrome&ie=UTF-8

FYI,

https://www.wordhipp...-of/expand.html

Compress is indeed not the best...

Maybe Condense is better choose.... Expand/Condense I suggest is what we usually use in computer terms....

NO !

Please don't look at literal dictionary words and their meaning.

The word here is "collape", meaning "to fold in unto itself". No one in the whole world, computers or otherwise, uses the word "condense" for this
