This determines the device name, where exactly is the name of the remote file determined?

It's not homebuild. Original PLi image.

I said that because you mentioned OpenPLi 9.1. Which does not exist (yet).

Can you post the /var/lib/enigma.info file from your box?

And sorry, I meant /usr/lib/enigma.info.

It is odd this ever worked.

According to your output:

/proc/stb/ir/rc/type:11

but there has never been a type 11, only a 4, 6 and 9: https://github.com/O...models.cfg#L141

Have you selected a unsupported custom remote by any chance?

I have not selected another RC. It was already wrong at first boot in the Install Wizard.

Odd, no clue where type 11 comes from.

It should than default back to

et9200 et9x00

( from /usr/share/enigma2/rc_models/rc_models.cfg.

But that doesn't work either, because littlesat has used "machine" as variable, which is the image base name, not the box name, which is in machinebuild. So this requires more fixes.

And not easy to change, as that contains OE-A compatible names, so more needs to be changed to use that variable.

So this has to go onto the todo, not a quick fix.

@litlesat, it is probably the easiest to switch the the boxinfo variable "rcname" like Huevos already mentioned, which is meant to be used for this, but is currently not set by the BSP.

Please, by no means a hasty solution...

As long as it will be fixed in the upcoming release, it's fine.

The current develop branch will become the new Release 9.1, right?

Yes. It is already branched off, but I keep it in sync with any last minute fixes committed to develop.

I suggest that should be fine.

I've added it (adding it to the BSP) to my todo list for next year ;).
