You can change the timezone in the menu, Setup, System, GUi Settings, Timezone.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

for the record, renaming the ovpn file to .conf seems to have done the trick. Then running openvpn --config /etc/openvpn/client.conf finished it off nicely. I'm only post this comment in case someone else get's suck. Once again WanWizard Cheers. Next time you're in ireland I'll buy you a few pints or spirits depending on what tickles your fancy!

You're welcome. It might not be a bad idea to accept .opvn extensions too, given the fact they are very common amongst VPN providers.

And Ireland is on my bucket list, it is not too far away, just a short hop over the North Channel...

i live in the county of Galway. It's a small city but it's full of culture and heritage. Hand on heart i'll buy you a few drinks. Out of curiosity how did you become as learned in openpli? It's blatantly obvious you know your stuff. I'm still playing with bash scripting, it's a fun past time.

I'll make a mental note of that ;). I'm in the south-west of Scotland.

Part of it is simply old age, I started when punch cards were the norm. I'm using linux since 1997, and part of the PLi team since 2006. So you pick some things up along the way.

I'm not a real PLi developer, I don't really like Python, and I haven't written any serious C since 1992. Put I am fluent in some other languages, and I read code very well :).
