Hello everyone,

after 15 years of exemplary service, my good old DM8000 seems definitely out of order and I'm now looking for a receiver to replace it.
My requirements are as follows:
- two DVB-S2 tuners (the only flexible criterion, one might suffice)
- one DVB-C tuner
- two smartcard readers (RTS + Voo)
- two CI slots (TivuSat + TéléSat)
- and, of course, OpenPli compatible
Any advice ?

Thanks a lot !

That's going to be a challenge.

The only one I can think of is the upcoming GigaBlue UHD Quad 4K Pro with an additional DVB-C plugin tuner and a USB cardreader? Or maybe you can still find a VU+ Duo 4K SE with an S2 and a D/T tuner, and a USB cardreader.

Otherwise it will be something second hand I think...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

May be have a look at:

AB PULSe 4K Rev. II. Combo (1XS2X+T2/C)

or

AB PULSe 4K Rev. II (2XS2X)  and since you are using a card reader for Voo you can use an external DVB-C tuner attached to it.   ;)

For the CI descrambling you need to use the build in tuner since the USB tuner are not compatible with CI descrambling.

So if you plan to use the VOO card with the CI module then you need to purchase the Combo model.

For the card reader you can add external card reader too, they are even more reliable than internal reader with some cards very sensitive to clocking/frequency.

Alternaticaly you could work with two different tuners that have at least one ci port and one card reader. One with dvb-s and c and the other with only dvb-s and then Connect them via eg fallback tuner….

Thanks again, I'll take a look at your suggestions.
Just one more thing: regarding the external USB smartcard reader, would you have any names of models/webstores to recommend ?

For the card reader search for:  Phoenix Card Reader

AliExpress has 2 models one has a case the other doesn't have one (the red one). But if you have a 3D printer you can print the case that fits for it.

TBS3102 is a well-known one.
