I've got a problem with this box.

Whenever it's left without power for a longer period of time, upon boot the picture and sound keep freezing as if the signal is constantly being lost and found even though it's stable.

After some time on power, it stabilizes and then works fine.
Any ideas what may be causing it?

That smells like a hardware issue, bad capacitors perhaps?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

I have no other possible explanation, sorry.

I have a Mutant HD66SE here with similar issues, it constantlly goes from normal reception to absolutely zero, and no idea why (unfortunately it isn't fixed by leaving it on).

If it is new, it is under warranty, so you could ask the vendor to fix it.
