Hallo at all,

many thanks to the team for the new release version 9.1 of OpenPLi.

I istalled it on my SF8008 an it runs!

With one thing i have problems. The mediathek plugins for ZDF and ARD are inactive.

The following error message I had on my tv screen:

 "Some Plugins are not available:

Extensions/ZDFMediathek (cannot import name 'setResumePoint' from 'Screens.InfoBarGenerics' (/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens/InfoBarGenerics.pyc))

Have you a workaroung to fix the problem?

Thanks for your tirless work :thumbs-up:

What exactly has changed between 9.0 and 9.1 ? And why wasn't this an issue in develop (as I know it was updated a few times)?

I think it was an issue in develop once... Somebody has reported it. And what is changed is complete rewriting of resume points handling. So normal functions like setResumePoint has been removed and replaced

@alabama

Where did you get the plugins from?

ARDMediathek and ZDFMediathek from the PLi feed do not have this problem.

Check in the plugin folder, if there are any source files (.py-files) left from previous installation.

@Stan

Thats was it! :thumbs-up:

I had an old 'zdf.py' in the folder.

After erasing that - everything is o.k.

Many thanks at all and a happy, healthy new year

We're looking for someone with 9.0-release on the box, to test the upgrade to 9.1, as some people report it still isn't fixed, and we can't reproduce it.

You should be

  • able to make a full backup of it so it can be restored for multiple tests (or to get your original back)
    or if you have a multiboot box, restore the ful backup in a different slot for test purposes
  • able to use the commandline to perform checks

Any volunteers?

Could someone inform CommanderData2338 about the patch?

Yes, i could flash the 9.0 to the 2. slot of my sf8008 and test the update.

in slot 1 I hve done it today :)

I don't know, I have never used either. It is up to you if you need one or not, the issue being once you start the update, you can't roll back to 9.0.

I've tested it with a newly flashed sf8008 (without restoring backups), and I can't break the update, but other people report issues I can't reproduce.

So this is only relevant if you have a running 9.0. If you don't, you're not a suitable candidate for this test.

@WanWizard

I have a running 9.0 at my vuduo4kse.

I'll make a fullbackup and update to 9.1.

What should I pay attention to?
