I disagree you need to keep the channel selection setup screen in the Parameters section and you can add a direct shortcut to it when we are already in the channel selection.
Removing it from the Parameters screen is a very bad idea.

Well that is you to decide...I am just saying that it was like this in other distros...Only OpenPLi (and based on OpenPLi) differs...Now they are unified at least for that.
And still that is only channel list related. Why they should be in general user settings? Ofcource they can be in both screens but sounds to me not logical to be in general user settings without to know that this is for channel list explicitly.

Because OpenPLi users are used to it and when setting up a box we went into the Parameters and parse all screens to setup the STB like we like it.
Don't you think that it is more logical to have all the settings under Parameters? Why hide some settings elsewhere under secret key press?
You can add a new categories in the parameters screens to have the channel list related parameters and as already mentioned having a quick link by pressing twice menu to access it is a nice to have.
If all image behave exactly the same then there is no needs to have different image, just creating skin will be enough.
So yes reorganized the settings to make then more logical is nice, I admit that sometimes it was a mess to retrieve the parameters that we know that it exists but was set in a 'non logical' place, but just keep them also in the Parameters screens.

Well its free to design it in the way you want...Generally for me is not logical that to be in parameters screen when a channel list config screen exists...
But yes if you like that can be at both places. But once you put all options in parameters that screen will contain so many options that you will get lost imho.
When i said its like that in other distros i mean that when it is at different place in PLi if user want to migrate from another distro to Pli he will be irritated too...
All is a habit imho.....

But it is so simple to retrieve all the possible options under Parameters. In OpenPLi you have 3 levels possible in the Parameters screen especially for this, of course I am always in expert mode because I need to have a full view on every parameters.
So people that use OpenPLi are used to find all there parameters at the same location and it's a nice approach. The wrong one is to hide stuff on menu that nobody knows how to access it.
Its like smartphone with lot of hidden features that you need to know, some specific movement on the screen to access some features, I really hate this.
I am myself nearly never use the double menu press. That's perhaps also the main reason why I don't like the other images because configurations are hidden into hidden features so I think that they miss parameters to customize there images.
In OpenPLi you have 3 levels possible in the Parameters screen especially to keep it clean with basic features for beginners up to expert, of course I am always in expert mode because I need to have a full view on every parameters and I don't want to care on which level the options are set.

The point is that is is easy for you, as an advanced user. It would be easy for you to have an interface where you could edit /etc/enigma2/settings directly.
But is it not easy for end-users, they completely drown in screen after screen of totally unrelated items.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
