In my case

Timer recoding works well when the box is on.

It crashes when the box is on standby or deep standby.

So what i am doing is setting timer to zap without recording one minute before the recording timer, then the box wakes up and in on, and timer recording starts normaly.

I can try to do the same, see if that helps

So two different results:

  • for ricki, it crashes when the box is on, and a recording starts
  • for guss, it only crashes when the box is NOT on

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I'm not sure if the box was on or on standby.

You wrote you saw and clicked away the "recording is about to start" message, indicating the box was on?

Ah, ok.

So in both cases a start of a recording from standby.
